It is not that easy, in a world full of extroverts, to survive when you don't know how to start a conversation. It isn't a disease. It is just a way the greatest programmer have programmed some of us.
At the end of teenage, now I am trying to understand the way humans function in the real world. I am an introvert myself and I know hard it is when everyone hates you because you don't show any interest in their plans or just remain quiet when they are talking continuously for hours. There are many other such instances. But there is no reason to hate introverts. It isn't their fault.
Here are some of the reasons why you shouldn't hate introverts:

1) As Stephen Hawking once said, "Quiet people have the loudest minds".
It may seem a bit stupid to extroverts but introverts can relate to it very well.
First of all, an introvert may seem to be sad, depressed and lonely.
But it isn't the real picture. Deep down their heart they have some really interesting thoughts. It is just a little hard for them to bring those thoughts out through their mouth.

2) Everyone understands the meaning of the word "fun" differently. For some people it is all about hanging out with their friends while for introverts it is sitting in their room with their headphones plugged in their ears or reading a book with a cup of coffee beside.
But that isn't a weird thing. God has programmed all of us differently.
Just because they enjoy differently there is no reason to judge them and call them "nerds".

3) All of us have a past. There is a reason why someone behaves differently. Not all of those we think are our friends are actually our friends.
Specifically, for some introverts this is the reason behind their inactive social life. Obviously, they have trust issues. Some things do not turn out the way they want them to be and some relations break so badly that it breaks them from inside.
They break them so badly that they become least interested in making new friends.

4) You cannot be creative and socially active at the same time. From the history, it can be concluded that most of the great artists or even scientists were introverts.
Their minds have so many interesting things going on that they don't simply like interacting with the world.

5) Not all of the people in the world are gifted with the talent of starting a conversation. Some are cursed with social awkwardness as well.
You just have to initiate a step and start the story with an introvert and then he/she will make sure that it never ends.

6) All of us have dreams but not all of them work hard to bring them in reality.
Some of us work so hard that maintaining relationships and friendships just become distractions in their road to success.
So it becomes necessary to sacrifice these things to go ahead on their to success.
These kind of introverts are nothing but just those extroverts who accept introvertism while growing up.

7) You are actually very lucky if you ever become friend with an introvert.
They will never break your trust because they have very few friends and they know what real friendship is.

People need to understand that silence isn’t awkward. Sometimes you need to enjoy it. Not every space has to be filled with words.

So next time you meet an introvert, just smile at 'em.
